Unlimited Macaroni and Cheese Samples Offered at Wheaton Festival
WHEATON, IL — The annual Wheaton Mac Festival is set to feature unlimited samples of macaroni and cheese on Saturday, attracting food lovers from across the region. The event will take place at the Wheaton Park District’s Community Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Festival organizers expect thousands of attendees to indulge in a variety of macaroni and cheese dishes prepared by local restaurants and vendors. “This festival highlights our community’s love for cheese and pasta, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone,” said festival director Lisa Johnson.
In addition to the unlimited samples, the festival will offer live music, family-friendly activities, and a competition for the best macaroni and cheese recipe. Attendees can vote for their favorite dish, with prizes awarded to the top three entries.
Ticket prices are set at $20 per adult and $10 for children under 12, with proceeds supporting local food banks. Festival-goers are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance due to high demand.
The Wheaton Mac Festival has grown in popularity since its inception five years ago, becoming a staple event in the community’s calendar. Last year, the festival attracted over 5,000 visitors, and this year is expected to draw an even larger crowd.
Local businesses and sponsors are playing a key role in this year’s festival, providing funding and food for the event. The festival not only celebrates culinary creativity but also aims to foster community spirit and support local charities.
The Wheaton Park District is committed to hosting inclusive events that cater to diverse tastes, and the Mac Festival is a testament to this mission.
