Upper Macungie Unveils New 188,000-Square-Foot Community Center
Upper Macungie Township has introduced its new Community Lifestyle Center, a state-of-the-art facility spanning 188,000 square feet. The center, located at 1151 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., is designed to serve as a hub for community engagement and recreational activities. The grand opening is set for next month.
The center features various amenities, including a multi-purpose gymnasium, swimming pool, and spaces for community events. “This center will provide residents with a place to gather, learn, and grow,” said Township Manager, Ralph E. Wenzel.
Additional facilities include an indoor walking track, fitness rooms, and a children’s area. The center aims to promote health and wellness for all age groups within the community.
Funding for the center came from a combination of state grants and local tax revenue. The project began in early 2022, with the goal of enhancing community resources and fostering a sense of belonging among residents.
Upper Macungie Township is located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The area has seen significant growth in recent years, leading to increased demand for community facilities and services. The new center is part of the township’s broader efforts to improve infrastructure and quality of life for its residents.
