Gateway Jax has signed an agreement with Marriott International and The Indigo Road Hospitality Group to develop Hotel Merrydelle, set to become Downtown Jacksonville’s first lifestyle hotel. The project aims to enhance the local hospitality scene and attract more visitors to the area.

“This partnership marks a significant milestone for our city,” said Gateway Jax CEO. “Hotel Merrydelle will provide a unique experience that blends local culture with modern amenities.”

The hotel is expected to feature a variety of dining options, meeting spaces, and recreational facilities, catering to both business travelers and tourists. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2024, with completion targeted for late 2025.

Located in the heart of downtown, Hotel Merrydelle will offer easy access to local attractions, arts districts, and the St. Johns River. The collaboration aims to revitalize the area, encouraging economic development and tourism.
