Burton Businesses Unite to Sponsor SARAC’s Pearl Ball

Burton-on-Trent businesses have joined forces to sponsor the SARAC’s annual Pearl Ball, aimed at raising funds to support survivors of domestic abuse. The event will take place on November 25, 2023, at the Burton Albion Community Stadium, marking an important occasion to promote awareness and generate financial assistance for local services.

“This event not only brings the community together but also helps us continue our vital work,” said SARAC spokesperson Emily Thompson. The Pearl Ball promises an evening of entertainment, with proceeds directly benefiting SARAC’s initiatives.

Local businesses participating include pubs, restaurants, and shops, with contributions ranging from financial support to donated goods and services for the event. Organizers expect a strong turnout from the community, emphasizing the collective effort to combat domestic abuse.

The Pearl Ball has been a key part of SARAC’s fundraising strategy since its inception, providing necessary resources for outreach and support programs. This year’s theme focuses on hope and resilience, aiming to highlight the strength of survivors and the community’s commitment to their recovery.

SARAC, or the Staffordshire Abuse Refuge and Community, provides critical assistance to individuals affected by domestic violence. Established in 2015, the organization has since expanded its services, including emergency accommodation and support for families in crisis.

The Pearl Ball not only serves as a fundraising event but also as a platform to raise awareness about domestic abuse, encouraging conversations that can lead to greater understanding and prevention within the community.
