UH Women’s Basketball Secures Justice Carlton from Transfer Portal
The University of Houston women’s basketball team has announced the addition of Justice Carlton, a transfer from the University of Texas. Carlton, a forward, decided to join the Cougars after entering the NCAA transfer portal earlier this month.
Carlton brings significant experience and skill to the Cougars’ roster, having played two seasons at Texas. In her sophomore year, she averaged 7.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, showcasing her potential to impact the Houston team.
Head coach Ron Hughey expressed excitement about Carlton’s decision, stating, “Justice is a versatile player who will fit well into our system and contribute immediately.” Her addition is expected to bolster Houston’s chances in the upcoming season.
The Cougars finished last season with a strong performance, reaching the postseason and demonstrating their potential for growth. Carlton’s presence is anticipated to enhance their competitiveness in the American Athletic Conference.
Justice Carlton previously played for a prominent Texas high school program and was recognized for her athleticism and scoring ability. Her move to Houston marks a new chapter for both her career and the Cougars’ ambitions for the future.
