Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn praised his team’s performance following their victory against Kentucky on Saturday. The game, part of the Southeastern Conference schedule, took place at Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

“I’m proud of how our guys executed and stayed focused throughout the game,” Van Horn said. “It’s always important to get the first win in a series, and we did that today.”

The Razorbacks scored five runs in the first three innings, establishing a lead that the Wildcats could not overcome. Arkansas pitcher Connor Noland delivered a strong performance, striking out eight batters and limiting Kentucky to just two runs.

The win improved Arkansas’ overall record to 27-13 and 10-8 in SEC play. The Razorbacks are now in contention for a top spot in the conference standings as they seek to solidify their position for the postseason.
