Chattanooga Women’s Basketball Adds Caelan Ellis from Charleston Southern
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s women’s basketball team has officially signed guard Caelan Ellis from Charleston Southern University, the school announced on Wednesday. Ellis will bring her skills to the Mocs ahead of the upcoming season, strengthening the team’s roster.
Chattanooga head coach Jim Foster expressed enthusiasm about the addition of Ellis, stating, “Her versatility and scoring ability will be significant assets for our program.”
Ellis, a standout performer, averaged 12.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game during her tenure at Charleston Southern. She was also named to the All-Big South Conference team in her final season, highlighting her impact in collegiate basketball.
The Mocs are looking to enhance their competitiveness for the forthcoming season with strategic signings. Ellis is expected to contribute immediately and bolster the team’s offensive capabilities as they aim for a successful campaign.
