Indonesia has requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council following the deaths of several peacekeepers in a recent attack in Mali. The incident occurred on October 10, 2023, when peacekeepers from the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) were targeted.
