Former Sri Lankan cricketer Aravinda de Silva has suggested that Test cricket can be promoted in a manner akin to Grand Slam tennis tournaments. De Silva made his remarks during a panel discussion on sports promotion, held on Wednesday in Colombo.

He emphasized that enhancing the visibility and marketing of Test matches could attract more audiences and sponsors. “The excitement and drama of Test cricket deserve a larger platform, similar to what we see with tennis,” de Silva stated.
