PJM Issues Hot Weather Alert for Mid-Atlantic Region
The PJM Interconnection has issued a hot weather alert for its Mid-Atlantic service area, including Pennsylvania, from August 9 to 11. This advisory comes as high temperatures are expected to strain electricity supplies across the region.
“Residents are advised to conserve energy during peak hours to help maintain system reliability,” PJM spokesperson said. The organization manages the transmission of electricity for 65 million people across 13 states and the District of Columbia.
