Seven UC Davis Football Players Recognized as Hampshire Scholars
Seven student-athletes from the University of California, Davis, have been honored as National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Scholars for 2023. This recognition was announced on Thursday, highlighting their achievements in academics and athletics.
The recipients include Michael Bandy, Tyler Campbell, Adam Duran, Zachary Feno, Hunter Hays, Thomas Morrow, and Cameron Sweeney. To qualify, players must have a minimum GPA of 3.2, have reached their sophomore year, and been a starter or significant contributor to their team.
The NFF Hampshire Scholars program aims to celebrate college football players who excel academically. The initiative emphasizes the importance of education alongside athletic performance, promoting the value of both pursuits.
