Knoxville Community Garden Announces Upcoming Events
The Knoxville Community Garden is set to host several community events in the coming weeks to promote gardening and sustainability. These events will take place at the garden located at 123 Greenway Drive, starting on April 15 and running through May 30.
Event organizers say the initiative aims to educate attendees about gardening techniques and encourage more residents to get involved in local food production. “Our goal is to create a stronger community through gardening,” said garden coordinator Emily Johnson.
Activities will include workshops on organic gardening, planting days, and educational talks from local horticulturists. Additionally, the garden will offer free seeds to participants while supplies last.
The first event on April 15 will feature a workshop on composting, followed by a plant sale on April 22. Subsequent events will focus on seasonal planting and pest management.
Community gardens have become increasingly popular as a means to foster local food systems and enhance urban green spaces. The Knoxville Community Garden has served as a hub for gardening enthusiasts since its establishment in 2015.
